It has been a very interesting month, but I’ve also learned that blogging takes the right mindset, and for me, it was not possible to combine furious writing, with leisurely blogging.

But, I’m here now to report that I’ll be writing again for Nomad in Music, I find that I can combine that with editing my first novel!

Guido out!

I’m attending Nanowrimo this year, and effort mainly concerned around: writing a novel in a month, with a 50.000 word minimum. So, that boils down to roughly 1667 words per day. Oh, and yes, I have been called mad before ;-) But, it’s taking up a lot of writing time otherwise spent on posting here. Sorry. But my dream has to come first.

Here is visual of the book:

I have some great posts in the pipeline though. Posts on Slash, some tabs for acoustic Guns ‘n Roses, Velvet Revolver, and Slash’ Snakepit songs! Also, we’ll be checking back with Fabienne and her endeavor to reach the stars!

Full RSS vs Excerpt RSS... I will cater readers as I was them, and I really like full RSS articles, and I don't mind ads in them. The disadvantage being that you may have a lot of readers, but no visitors on your site. Ah well... I'm not too concerned about that. If you want to visit fine, you more then welcome. Of you just like to read the articles, that's fine too. Who am I to say what you should or shouldn't do?

After a week or two, I’m getting more and more happy with how nomadinmusic.com is turning out. I’ve added some social tracking, my flickr pictures, and wrote a couple of different posts to get this blog going!

Overall, it’s been a very easy experience so far. I like to do things when I feel like doing them, and although I’m used to deadlines, work on nomadinmusic on happens if I’m into it. I’m happy for as far as the implementation of plugins and building a backend structure is going. I feel like I’m almost done with it. I’ve added and tweaked my rss feed. I made a decision to have full posts in RSS, but also to put some ads in there. My 2 cts to the discussion regarding

In the next weeks I’ll do some design changes – banners, footer, coloring, fonts etc – but the structure pretty much stays the same.

Stay tuned!

In the last days I’ve added quite some functionality on both front and back end of Nomad in music. In the back we have adsense, gooogle analytics, set up email and added my name in the hat of some social services. For all your eyes to see, there is now the sociable plugin thingy, and within a couple of minutes the contact form! Next will be activating some plugins, and overhaulin the theme a bit.

Stay tuned!

Well, hello!

My name is Guido and here I am, starting a blog on the internets. Over the next couple of weeks I’ll slowly start working on my blog, on the visuals (despite this them being wonderful, I’d like to tweek it to my own wishes) and of course there’ll be posts to read. I’m not sure what direction I’m heading, but I suppose that will get much clearer once I get started. It’s like looking for opals in Australia. You first sift through a bunch of dirt, then try every technique in the book to find them, until you start thinking for yourself, and trying to look for new ways of unearthing the beauty.

I hope that overtime you’ll be visiting here, enjoying yourself!
